Start building soon on the Blockchain for Data with Ankr’s RPC connection and gateway to communicate with the Flare network.
Ankr is thrilled to announce we are soon making an essential addition to our RPC service with the Flare blockchain. This is excellent news for developers looking to get the jump on building on top of Flare for scalable and data-connected dApps! Users will be able to access Flare Public and Premium RPCs, make request calls, and receive information returns that are identical to the results they would get by running a Flare full node themselves.
"Ankr is excited to join forces with Flare to create a more secure and interconnected blockchain ecosystem with a data-rich and interoperable developer experience. Putting developers first with incredibly strong infrastructure shows Flare’s dedication to becoming a hub for building some of the most secure and connected web3 applications.”
– Josh Neuroth, Ankr’s VP of Product
What is Flare?
Flare is an EVM-compatible layer-1 blockchain built to trustlessly acquire and deliver data at scale. Flare aims to be the blockchain for data, offering developers secure, inexpensive, and decentralized access to a vast array of data across blockchains, web3, and the traditional web. Flare’s data acquisition protocols, the Time Series Oracle and State Connector, are built into the network itself rather than on top of it, providing feeds for asset prices and event data and enabling secure interoperability for the blockchain industry.
What Are Ankr’s New Flare RPC Connections?
-
Ankr’s Flare RPCs (Remote Procedure Calls) connect your wallet, command-line interface, or dApp with the Flare blockchain. They act as a messenger or blockchain router that relays on-chain information between Flare nodes, dApps, and ultimately end-users so they can execute necessary tasks like transactions, populate wallet balances, fetch ownership information, and much more.
-
Flare RPC endpoints are a gateway for developers to interface directly with the Flare network — a portal to communicate easily, remotely, and with no need to go through the DevOps of establishing their own Flare nodes.
-
Ankr is providing a geo-distributed Flare RPC comprised of blockchain nodes running worldwide for incredibly low-latency and reliable connections.
How Do the Flare RPCs Help Developers?
Building with Flare is an excellent choice to create data-connected and scalable dApps but requires access to the information on Flare nodes to do so. Therefore, Ankr’s RPC solves the following developer troubles:
Eliminates complex node ops - Ankr’s Flare RPCs will completely remove the need for many developers to set up their own Flare nodes, removing hours of time spent building, calibrating, and fixing node issues.
Grants access to advanced tools - Ankr’s Premium RPC Plan instantly grants access to the best tools to build applications quickly, including:
- At least 1,500 Flare req/sec
- High request priority
- Global node locations
- Telemetry
- Debug mode
- Support Portal
- WebSockets (WS) capabilities
Powers apps and open-source software that need access to Flare - Connect with a cluster of high-performance nodes that holds the information you need to build and operate dApps with Flare blockchain capabilities.
Supports the Flare networkAnkr will strengthen the Flare network globally by offering easier development and a broader, distributed node infrastructure.
Stay Tuned for More Updates
You will soon see Flare as a supported option on Ankr’s RPC service, with the ability to call the Flare chain using the standard EVM JSON RPC methods.
