## Guide to Claiming $STRK for Pooled Stakers

If you are a pooled Ethereum staker, you may be eligible to claim $STRK tokens through the Provisions portal. The Starknet Foundation has made it possible for stakers from various protocols to claim their tokens directly, including those who staked through the Ankr Staking Dashboard.

### Step-by-Step Guide to Claiming $STRK

#### 1 - Check Eligibility:
Ensure you [meet the criteria](https://www.starknet.io/blog/starknet-provisions-program/#who-is-eligible) as a pooled Ethereum staker. To be eligible, users must have staked ETH under the Ethereum PoS model until the Merge on September 15th, 2022. If you staked through Ankr or other supported protocols (Lido Finance, Rocket Pool, BloxStaking, SharedStake, Stakefish, Consensys), you become eligible.


#### 2 - Access the Provisions Portal:
Go to the [Provisions portal](https://provisions.starknet.io/) and connect your wallet. This will allow the portal to verify your staking history and eligibility.

#### 3 - Claim Your $STRK:
Follow the on-screen instructions to claim your $STRK tokens. The portal will guide you through the process, including verifying your staker status and completing the claim.

#### 4 - Confirm Receipt:
After claiming, check your wallet to ensure that your portion of $STRK tokens has been successfully transferred.

### Considerations

The Starknet Foundation has set a cap of 43,200 $STRK per eligible pooled staker to ensure fair distribution among both pooled and solo stakers. This cap prevents any pooled staker from receiving more $STRK than individual solo stakers, who take on greater risks.

Bitcoin's real potential is unlocked with liquid staking and restaking. Protocols like Babylon allow users to earn interest on their Bitcoin without giving up control of their assets, similar to Ethereum's EigenLayer. By “restaking” Liquid Staking Tokens, users will essentially be putting their staked Bitcoin to work again to secure PoS networks. Those who choose to restake, can secure other blockchains, boosting the overall DeFi ecosystem and potentially increasing the value proposition of holding Bitcoin.

Ankr’s part in this is creating the liquid staking token (LST) frameworks for the Bitcoin staked via Babylon. The LSTs will then be issued on PoS chains secured by the BTC staking protocol. For stakers, this means their BTC will be locked on the Bitcoin blockchain while new LSTs are minted on the PoS chain they chose to provide security for. In this way, both security and liquidity is provided to the PoS chains.
