Ankr is thrilled to announce we will soon make an essential addition to our RPC service with the XDC Network. This is excellent news for developers looking to get the jump on building on top of XDC for fast, scalable, and secure dApps! Users will be able to access XDC Public and Premium RPCs, make request calls, and receive information returns that are identical to the results they would get by running an XDC full node themselves. Ankr will collaborate with XDC Foundation to enhance and expand XDC’s growing developer ecosystem.

What is XDC Network?

XDC Network is an EVM-compatible Layer 1 network. A highly optimized, bespoke fork of Ethereum, the XDC Network reaches consensus through a delegated proof-of-stake (XDPoS) mechanism, which allows for two-second transaction time, near zero gas fees, and a high number of transactions per second. Secure, scalable, and highly efficient, the XDC Network powers a wide range of novel blockchain use cases and provides state-of-the-art infrastructure for enterprise-grade blockchain applications and real-world asset tokenization.

Recently, Securitize announced their support for the XDC Network and the USTY token – an XDC Network-based token designed to expand low-cost access to the yield generated by an institutionally-managed U.S. Treasury ETF – an initiative showcasing how the XDC Network can be used for real-world asset tokenization.

What Are Ankr’s New XDC RPC Connections?

  • Ankr’s XDC RPCs (Remote Procedure Calls) connect wallets, command-line interfaces, and dApps with the XDC blockchain. They act as a messenger or blockchain router that relays on-chain information between XDC nodes, dApps, and ultimately end-users so they can execute necessary tasks like making transactions, populating wallet balances, fetching ownership information, and much more.

  • XDC RPC endpoints are a gateway for developers to interface directly with the XDC network — a portal to communicate easily, remotely, and with no need to go through the DevOps of establishing their own XDC nodes.

  • Ankr is providing a geo-distributed XDC RPC comprised of blockchain nodes running worldwide for incredibly low latency and reliable connections.

How Do the XDC RPCs Help Developers?

Building with XDC is an excellent choice to create fast and scalable dApps but requires access to the information on XDC nodes to do so. Therefore, Ankr’s RPC solves the following developer troubles:

Eliminates complex node ops **** Ankr’s XDC RPCs will completely remove the need for many developers to set up their own XDC nodes, removing hours of time spent building, calibrating, and fixing node issues.

Grants access to advanced tools -  Ankr’s Premium RPC Plan instantly grants access to the best tools to build applications quickly, including:

  • At least 90,000 XDC requests/min
  • High request priority
  • Global node locations
  • Telemetry
  • Debug mode
  • Support Portal
  • WebSockets (WS) capabilities

Powers apps and open-source software that need access to XDC - Connect with a cluster of high-performance nodes that holds the information you need to build and operate dApps with XDC Network capabilities.

Supports the XDC Network - Ankr will strengthen the XDC Network globally by offering easier development and a broader, distributed node infrastructure.
